FAQ’s

How can I pay for my journey?

We accept cash in all vehicles and have drivers which also accept card. To ensure we send you a driver who accepts card, please let us know that this is how you intend to pay at the time of booking. Any payments made through the office incur an admin fee. If you have a business and would like to pay by invoice, please check out our business account page.

I'm running late, how long will my taxi wait for me?

We understand that things crop up and we will give you a 5 minute’s grace from the booking time. Sometimes, if we are not so busy the driver can wait for longer if you let us know that you are running late. On these occasions, the meter will start running at 10 minute’s past the original pick up time.

What should I do about lost property?

If you think you have left something in the car, contact us on 01604 631111. Tell us as much detail as possible about the item you have lost, along with information about your journey ( date, pick-up time, contact number of main passenger). If the item is not already with us, we will contact the driver to see if he/she has it and we will arrange for it to be delivered to you. There may sometimes be a charge for returning lost property (the distance from where the driver is to where you are). Whilst we know this is not ideal (we try to avoid it wherever possible), we hope you appreciate the costs we bear when a driver is unable to undertake other work whilst returning your item.

Can I bring my dog in the taxi?

Yes, if you let us know at the time of booking, it is possible to bring your dog in the vehicle as long as your dog is able to sit in the footwell of the car or on your lap; you can also bring your dog in a cage. Blind dogs are allowed, regardless. Please ensure that your pet is not likely to soil the vehicle as you will be held responsible for the bill.

Can children travel alone in the taxi?

Our drivers have enhanced DBS checks which means that they can transport vulnerable children and adults and do so for the likes of schools, care homes, councils and social services. Where it may be required, we also have lovely, trained, passenger assistants who are also hold enhanced DBS’s, who assist our drivers and keep a close eye on the passengers.

If you would like more details on how to use this service, please contact us.

Does my child need a child seat in the taxi?

No, the law currently states:

If the driver doesn’t provide the correct child car seat, children can travel without one – but only if they travel on a rear seat:

  • and wear an adult seat belt if they’re 3 or older
  • without a seat belt if they’re under 3

We are happy for you to provide your own for long distance’s and if you have a return journey we can store them at our office until we collect you again. Failing this, we may have a spare seat of our own at our office that we can lend for the long-distance journey.
